I've long said if withholding was to a private account in your name (or non-existent*) and if you had to actually write a check to "United States Treasury" every April things would be different.

Yes. I believe if it deemed a necessity (pretty sure it goes for some basic foodstuffs, also), there is no sales tax.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

So Texans take the deduction for state sales and property taxes instead.

Just watched Senator Susan Collins’ press conference where she announced she was not going to run for governor of Maine and will remaine in the Senate.

As you know job approval means nothing. It doesnt matter if his job approval plummets in Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Kansas and Indiana (which were highlighted in he story) because there is a .0001% chance that if he is the GOP candidate those states dont go for him. They dont have to like the job he is doing, they are not voting Democrat and that is the only thing that matters.

When Dems tout stuff like this it reminds me of when Red Sox fans around here in the late 90s/early 2000s would brag that the Saux spent more time leading the division than the Yanks. Of course the Yanks won the division and often the World Series but **** if the Saux fans didnt think their little stat mattered!

Will he? I was thinking he would be annoyed because with her gone, he might have a chance to get his repeal and replace through.
