Absolutely no way to know at this point what we have and we could be a bottom 20 team or a top 20 team by the end of the season. I just hope for an exciting season without the drama we have been seeing of late. After all of the years, Jen and I will still never give up on the boys. BTW Princeton tickets went on sale yesterday morning and were selling like hot cakes. For those thinking of attending, we have our usual seats in section 123 (center ice of course). Tickets are $12 this year and $1 handling fee is added to each ticket (so why not just say that it is $13?) and if you want them mailed you have to add $5 but you can print them for free or have them kept at the box office. If you cannot find an arena diagram (for some odd reason Princeton removed it from their site) the best seats are sections 121-124. Try to avoid the seats behind the goal or in the upper deck (also behind the goal). You can rather easily on their site actually pick your seats from what is available and as of today there is still a bunch of really good seats open.
FWIW, I couldn't find a good seating diagram for the HFH either this year.

I thought the team played pretty well against a good St. Mary's team that had 3 games under their belts. I looked at their roster and there was only one St. Mary's player without Major Junior experience. Oddly enough, it was Rapaci, whose sister plays for RPI and he looked pretty good. I wish we'd gotten a package deal.
We have yet to have a brother-sister combination. It is a bit surprising. Too bad we couldn't get Zalewski's sister.

It's going to me a mess here today with the Nats less than a mile to the east of where I live and the Foo Fighters (whoever they are, but anyone who is against both a former and a current #26 player can't be bad ) a similar distance to the northwest for the grand opening of the Anthem at the Wharf.

TROY, N.Y., Oct. 12, 2017 — In the latest salvo fired in a long-running dispute over control of the student union, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute administrators have again banned student demonstrations — this time forbidding dissent during this weekend’s homecoming celebration.

The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education wrote to the private university earlier this week to demand that RPI end its blanket ban on student demonstrations planned for this weekend.

In a stark illustration of its intent to keep out dissenting student voices, this week the administration erected a fence across wide swaths of the campus. The fence effectively prohibits students from even approaching the building where President Shirley Ann Jackson is hosting a black-tie event for alumni and donors Friday afternoon.

“Rensselaer promises its students the freedom to express their views,” said FIRE Senior Program Officer Adam Steinbaugh. “But that promise apparently comes with a big asterisk: It doesn’t apply on some weekends, when it’s inconvenient, or when the university might be criticized in front of donors.”

Sadly, this is exactly what Flaggy has been warning us about...albeit it's risen to an unheard of level. Question is, what's to be done about it? I won't hold my breathe waiting for the Times Unions expose.
