Re: Northeastern Huskies 2017-18: Every Dog Has its Day
Wow, what a different game from what I envisioned. BC was just relentless, almost never leaving a Huskie room to do anything and only taking one penalty while doing it. Three of the BC goals were greasy goals resulting from hard work and tenacity. Their forwards can all skate and work hard, Their D and Goalie are a very strong group. I'm not going to bash NU either. The effort was there. The Huskies weren't flat. BC just put on a clinic.

Also agree with the above assessments but it's not just BC that's been coming up with suffocating defense. UML and UVM have combined with BC to limit NU to an average of only 1.7 GF over the last three games. Offense is supposed to be the strength of this team but passing in the attacking zone seems to have suddenly lost its sharpness which, in turn, has led to trouble finishing around the net. That being said--and taking nothing away from BC--puck luck just wasn't there last night.Last edited by Split-N; 11-19-2017, 11:54 AM."Through the years, we ever will acclaim........"

as has also been noted.. some forwards trying to do too much all by themselves. make a simple play on odd man, 2x1 type rushes .. move the puck to the open guy, he has a wide open net to shoot at. they'll look at the video, hopefully learn and improve. good job by the Eagles moving the puck. from what i caught.. that was the difference.GO NU HOCKEY
Always bullish on the future.
We don't always win Hockey East or the Beanpot (#trilogy).. but when we do.. we are the Champions

Hope he is close to 100% as well. He was seeing the puck much better this season, no question.
Wishing them both success. Have a nice break, all.GO NU HOCKEY

Bump off page 2 and here's my recap of the weekend. Sorry about the jumbled text, had formatting issues. Should be a one-time thing.

Happy thanksgiving y'all. I'm thankful for having good goaltending this year, for Adam Gaudette and Dylan Sikura, and also for other posters like you that care deeply enough about this team to comment and chat on a message board about it. Every program needs their passionate fan base, and I'm happy to be a part of this one. Hope you all have a great holiday.

Not sure what Jozy has done to earn his continued relegation but I'm not a fan of it.
