I think longer than most others thing. For sure, Tillerson saw his appointment of a way to make a lot of money for him and his friends.

But that seems to have shifted to seeing himself as one of the few mature adults running this country. IMHO, he's one of a handful of people who have kept us from going to war with North Korea so far. And if he leaves, shooting may start quite quickly.

At least some of these guys can have a focus on *something* and for a while, that was making a lot of money on the backs of the US taxpayer. But dump has turned out to focus more on his image than anything useful to other people, which has really set up this administration for a huge internal conflict- the suck dumps dick people vs. the just plain old greedy people. And the plain old greedy people seem to understand that if dump gets his way, they will all lose a whole lot of money, let alone the country being put into a losing conflict all over the place.

Remember, most of these old greedy people are not racists, too- they were some of the behind the scenes crowd that were stunned by dump's saying that there were good white supremacists.

Anymore, people are staying on to combat dump and his moronic crap.

Good point. Massive war and devastation is really the only way people that rich can be hurt. They want stability so they can quietly milk the US treasury dry like Ryan and his "tax reformers."

            Fixed that for you.
Texas and Florida are both pretty brown, in case you've never visited either of them.

That's precisely why I said red vs. blue, not brown vs. white.

But let's be honest, Dump doesn't even consider PR part of America. That's the real issue here.

Yeah, I figured as much from you. rufus is just on his four-year seething at the moment and needs the occasional small moments to bring him back to the ground.

Trump might be the only POTUS since 1856 that can't identify any of the states outside of where he owns property. Let's not expect great things from his geographic acumen.

I don't think anyone is expecting anything from him but complete and utter disaster and chaos. The point about red and blue is valid. He has people working for him implementing policy.

OMG, one of my friends on FB is going off the deep end. She posted this today in response to some lunatic website talking about the Vegas massacre:

We need to know who was really behind this. Who is really running this? Who has the money to do this? Who would want to keep division in this country? George Soros comes to mind and the likes of him. He and those that we don't know of, are so infiltrated in our government, that they have everything to gain by the saying divide and conquer.
I'm getting a little worried for her sanity.

Florida is like 60% non-hispanic white (maybe a little less). PR is probably single digits.

On a related note, in Florida lots of those brown people have lifetime bans from voting because of a felony conviction. Something like 31% of adult black males can't vote in Florida. Very convenient for the GOP...

He is certainly the least intelligent president (beating Harding). He is probably also the most ignorant (beating Dubya).

I love a good conspiracy but at some point you gotta take a deep breath and not type things into the Facebook or Twitter machine.

The classic New Yawker's Map of the US.

Add a spot for Mar-a-lago somewhere just north of Mexico, and his golf course in Jersey, and you've got Trump's version.

                                ...

This is a great opportunity, too. I would be fascinated to go through her thinking and see where the strangeness starts. I assume she is still clear that 2 + 2 = 4. We all differ on normative judgments so that's not interesting. There is a spectrum of judgments and the ability to reason that runs from the simple and empirically obvious to the subtle and highly complex (analytic a priori to synthetic a posteriori, Kant would say) and we all fall somewhere on it.

A longitudinal study would be even better. Have these people always been subrational, and politics is just something that gets balled up in it, or does the constant repetition of irrational influences on the internet actually remove people's rationality? Does anybody remember, for example, Flag being more rational back in the day?

This is fascinating. You should, gently, study her.
