Wiffen isn't playing tonight. Don't know if he is injured or healthy scratch.

    Edit: injured

Congratulations to FlagDUDE08 for winning his fifth bonus point of the season. Further, congratulations to me for riggingwinning the contest this year, and more importantly for not taking 6 months to write the final wrap up!

Friday night was the highest scoring affair of the weekend, with a whopping 4 goals split between the teams. Donovan Ott (no one) scored the lone Engineer goal (seriously how many times have I said that this season) and was your best pick for RPI. Trevor Cosgrove (Ralph Baer) kicked off the scoring with a PPG that would give Colgate a lead they never relinquished. Both goalies (Point - vizoroo) earned quality starts, but you shouldn't have picked them this night.
While Saturday worked out wonderfully for RPI, it wasn't exactly a great night in RPI Pick to Click. Linden Marshall (no one) earned what would be RPI's only shutout of the entire season in the do-or-die matchup. If you prefer skaters, rookie defenseman Mat Harris (no one) potted his first career goal to force Sunday's rubber match. Colton Point (FlagDUDE08) earned a quality start and was the only Raider worth anything, but you could have gotten more out of him on a different night.
Finally, the RPI season came to an end on Sunday night, as only Linden Marshall (lugnut92, FlagDUDE08) earned any PtC points, with his third quality start of the weekend. Colton Point (none of us are so far lost as to have picked him) capped off his stellar weekend with a shutout. Three Colgate skaters earned a pair of PtC points each, but we didn't pick any of them.

Success Rate is defined as the percentage of picks of a given type that earned at least 1 PtC point.

It was a blast to run this contest once again this season (and to finally win it after three second place finishes in previous years). I want to thank all of you for participating and putting up with me as I tweak the rules every season. I look forward to doing this again next year, and maybe we can rope more than 7 people into joining us week to week.

Thanks again Lugnut for running this. Lots of fun!
Like you, I hope for more posters to join us next season.
And the only goalies that I hope to pick next year are named Marshall, Perry or Savory.

Thanks , Lugnut from me too. Gee, I made up to a tie for third. (Is there a tie breaker? )

BTW, I doubt that any of us will be picking Perry next season.

One more thing, Lugnut, rather than success rate being %age of times one earns a point or more for a pick of a given type, it would be interesting to see the average number of points earned by each type of pick. That is if one only once picks a defenseman but he gets an assist it would be 2.00.

Edit: Never mind. That is just Points/Picks which is in your table already.

Yeah, I didn't provide that since it was a relatively easy calculation from numbers already provided. I thought it was more informative to see how often our picks actually clicked.
