Now 2-1 going into the third period. In other potential upset news, UMD leads Colgate 2-0 after two; the box score shows the two Duluth goals coming in a 17 second stretch late in the 2nd.

Colgate avoids the shutout with a late power play goal.
          4-1 final UMD.

WOW, those are both gigantic PWR results for the Eagles, holy smokes, I am PLEASED.

No video, and no audio, so no particularly good idea what happened.

The "live stats" thing said Wisconsin had two pipes, and there was (maybe) a third pipe (or maybe one of the other two, credited to a different player) that the person doing the UW twitter feed thought merited a review... but there was none available at the site the game was played at.

Idle last weekend, Thanksgiving day yesterday means not a lot of focus on hockey, led to a flat outing?

The first time in over a year that the starting UW goalie gave up as many as three goals (Niki Cece, filling in for an injured Desbiens, gave up four in her first ever start last year against Duluth).

Oh, well. If you're gonna lose one, a non-conf game is a 'better' choice.

From the Gophers' perspective, the UMD win outweighs the Wisconsin loss in terms of PWR effects, so it's a good day.

Vermont and RIT tie 1-1. Vermont advances to the Windjammer Classic final in a shootout....Melissa Black denying her sister Claudia on the final shot. Now that's a narrative.

Bobby Morris-Ohio State 1-1 after one.

SOG 20-6 for Colonials. They had Buckeyes on their heels by late in the period.

Lack of discipline leads to a 3-2 OT loss for the Buckeyes as Howard scores on a 5-3.
