        They've done that for a while. All baseballs are kept at a standard humidity and temperature until game time.

          Was it CO that kept them in humidors or something?
          Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

                Yup.

                Thinner air means longer hits, plus Denver is on the dry side - dried-out balls bounce off the bat further and some pitchers have said they have trouble gripping them.

                  That's what I thought, but couldn't remember for sure; I knew about the "thin air" reasons, also the dried out ball factor. When I played fall softball, the difference was very noticeable here in MN, with the lack of humidity at that time of year.

                        Arizona does as well.

                        Wiith the standard temperature controlled storage this year, they will determine if humidors are added for next year after "studying" the effects this season.
