If the Red Sox and Rockies win today, apparently there's no Sunday drama?

Sox win today, clinching the AL East.

The AL is all set: Sox, Indians, Astros, Yankees, Twins.

For the NL: Nats, Cubs, Dodgers, Diamondbacks, and presumably the Rockies.

So a free pass for the Indians into the ALCS.

They'll no doubt be favored, but it's not quite a free pass at all.

I mean after the Twins beat the Yankees. Thought that was a given.

I mean, it was pretty magical the last time I was in Yankee Stadium (Jeter final walkoff), but that might be asking a bit too much from the baseball Gods.

At the other end of the MLB spectrum the Giants clinched the worst record and 1st pick in the draft next year with their 98th loss. Matt Cain pitched 5 scoreless innings and walked off to a standing ovation as he retired after 13 years, all with the Giants.
A bad cause requires many words.
