Great game. Three Cy Young winners pitched in the game, two in relief.

    The f-ck did that fall?

Also, the Cubs might have just run themselves out of another couple runs. Let's hope that doesn't come back to bite them.

Darvish just misses hitting a DBack square in the mush (unintentional). The ball hit the BRIM of the helmet. It was that close. Whew.

ARI snowballed a helluva a catch! Almost. That close. Fired home to stop LAD from adding to the lead. Insane and beautiful play all-around. ARI has one more shot.....

Executives at FOX and MLB have to be absolutely peeing themselves over even the possibility of a Chi/LA NLCS and NY/Hous ALCS. Four largest U.S. cities by population. I suspect, however, that Cleveland (and maybe even Washington) will have something to say about that.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

I had no idea Houston was number 4. I am trapped forever in 70s.

As I said before, it's a rite of Fall. Apple pie, pumpkin spice everything, leaves change color, and the Nats are eliminated in the first round.

Just the GM. In the past few years the Red Sox knee jerk reactions have fired Terry Francona and John Farrell. Most successful managers in last 100 years.

The Boston sports media makes the New York sports media look like the Algonquin Round Table.

Why? If he's ill he's going to pitch terribly and I don't want him out there. I don't get this poutrage over this at all.

Thats a lot of ifs. Let your manager decide if you should pitch.

As a player you say you dont feel well. But you shouldn't say i dont want to play. If you do say that, dont tell the world.
