    UAF made the kind of hockey history on October 10th 2015 that no team wants to claim – the Nanooks became the first NCAA Division I victim of Arizona State.

      “Also Known As”...“Easy Three”

      Sounds like a good rap name…you, Suze and AKSWF should start a little group and entertain your team and fans as you all sit around watching the playoffs on WCHA TV.

                This weekend should make for an interesting Gov Cup series! If the Nanooks win both games, they get the cup....again. If UAA sweeps or splits, the deciding games will be in February in Fairbanks. Maybe even making that final weekend another playoff deciding weekend too.

                With the way things have been going recently for the Nanooks, I am glad they have a 2 game lead right now.

                Will also be some huge WCHA points on the line. I feel like both teams are better than their records show.

                  They do have a lead, but they have also played 12 games to UAA's 8. I will be at the Friday game, but may not make Saturday. My youngest granddaughter is getting baptized late that afternoon.

                    I believe she was referring to a two game lead for the Gov Cup. We’re dead last in conf based on winning %. We’re a decent squad when we play inspired hockey, but we’ve been so inconsistent that I don’t expect us to win the Cup this weekend. We’ve been pretty good at 5x5 hockey but so pathetic on special teams that we are always prone to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory. The Gov Cup could possibly be our only high point this season, so maybe the boys will surprise me and come out fired up.

                      Oops, that's right. All 6 games are being counted aren't they ... even though only 4 count as league games. My bad.

                                Just to be clear. My disinterest in this team became of the Uni's disinterest. Without the success of the hockey team, the other teams would not be where they are. Way to pay back the hockey team. **** UAA.
