I'm sure your guys are very happy with that result and now you can be home for a while.
Everyone ought to be wary of NMU, they are a lot better than people think.

Congrats also to Huntsville! And yes the Cats are vastly improved (I'm a 74 & 78 NMU grad). Nice that my Beavers could rebound at Alaska Fairbanks (worked at BSU for 32 1/2 years and currently living off that pension . Should be a hard-fought series this weekend at Bemidji with highly regarded Mankato. Go Beavers!

NMU went 7-3-0 down the stretch last year, then took #1 seed Bemidji to the final minutes of game 3 in the playoffs. They’ve picked up where they left off. 7 of the next 10 on the road at Tech, Fairbanks, Omaha & Bemidji will be a tough test for NMU.

The Beavers will be without Zach Whitecloud as he left Fairbanks to catch up with Team Canada in one of the pre-Olympic tournaments in Europe. Happy for him, don't get me wrong, but if only that tournament could have been a week later.

Looking at who plays whom going forward, I can see the league going 16-8 the rest of the way. We would need as couple of key wins. The BG vs WMU game is big. The NMU vs UNO series is big, The MTU vs BC game is big, The BG series with Miami they need to at least split and Bemidji needs to take care of Princeton and split with UND.
I can see that all happening.

So the question is then: That would put us real near 500. What kind of record will the other conferences have and Does those big wins vs power teams get us an extra bid.
