If teams were willing to do 2 for 1, why wouldn't you? If the smaller schools would have stuck together, and nobody settled for a 2 for 1 agreement, they wouldn't have happened. The big schools need the little schools as much as vice versa.

Re: WCHA Season Thread 2017-18: In Which We Try For Two Bids
I didn't watch either Alaska game, but I watched parts of FSU-NMU, MTU-LSSU, and BSU-UMD on WCHA.tv, all with a native app on a Fire TV streaming off of my LTE hotspot (way to go, Fire TV, for not supporting WPA2-Enterprise so I could use the NASA BYOD wifi network). All three feeds looked great. I still had to put up with the truly weird intonations of the LSSU PBP guy, but it was a very good experience all told. I do wish that they had a Roku app, because my new office TV is a Roku-based TV (which, okay, whatever, it's 4K HDR for under $350 at 43"). I really can't believe how good it was.

Re: WCHA Season Thread 2017-18: In Which We Try For Two Bids
Yeah, I wouldn't say they're that improved yet. Maybe they're looking more competitive in games, which is good, but until it shows up in wins, it doesn't help much. It would have been really nice if the Alaska schools could have each gotten one last weekend, and it looked like they could have, but just came up short.Having a clear conscience just means you have a bad memory or you had a boring weekend.

Re: WCHA Season Thread 2017-18: In Which We Try For Two Bids
I realize my comment doesn’t resonate with the “but what have you done for me lately” philosophy.
But I would like to point out that through the 2016-17 season of the nWCHA, UAA had the highest winning percentage in NC games, and UAF was tied for 2nd. And as pointed out, we both played some close games this year but couldn’t seal the deal. But even at that, through our short 4+ year history, UAA still has the 3rd highest winning percentage in NC games and UAF the 4th. BGSU and MTU are 1 & 2 respectively.
