I'm not entirely through it yet but he's spot on for the first 7 minutes or so.

If you get past his goofy set up, he knows a lot about hockey and has a nice perspective.

          His Isles preview was good.

I'd say "just another story about how hockey players are the best", but I don't think that quite describes it.

The NHL Office sent out a memo to officials telling them to "dial back" enforcement of slashing and face off violations.

Yes. The Wings are having trouble with the new faceoff rules in pre-season. Been called 4-5 times already.

Jagr will be 46 this season and yes his goal total was his lowest ever for a full season last year but I still scratch my head why nobody has signed him yet. He did have 8 powerplay goals though. His 46 points were more than D Sedin and M Duchene. You would think a team would be willing to sign him at the 650,000 dollar veteran minimum

NBC and NBCSN will not broadcast NHL games during the winter Olympics.

                        About that increased exposure, Gary...

I'm wondering if teams are waiting for the beginning of the season after LTIR contracts get taken off the cap hit.

What was the oldest Gordie ever played as a regular in the N or W (not the circus act with his grandsons)? Jaromir must be within 10 years of that now, right?
