    @ByMHarrington: Repeating specifics: Eichel signed 8 years/$80M. Kicks in for 2018-19. Runs through 2025-26 -- age 29. http://buffalonews.com/2017/10/03/re...hel-extension/

    Assuming he stays healthy, that gives him plenty of gas left in the tank to leave Buffalo as an UFA in 8 years when they're still Cup-less.

    Bryan Bickell signs a one day and retires with the Blackhawks.

    Never forget his goal against Boston in the Final and a fine career with the Hawks.

    Best wishes.

    The Wild's Salary Cap situation sucks.

    Yeah, but at least you have some Cups to show for your pain. The Wild went all in last year and got "nothing". Not even a run.

    Pittsburgh Penguins

    2016-17 record: 50-21-11

    What’s bad: Not one mother****er in that locker room had the guts to say, “Hey, maybe going to the White House this year isn’t the best idea.” I’m always hearing how hockey players are so tough yet they’re always the first ones to fall in line and knuckle to authority. Hockey players have more respect for logos on floors and for political building than other human beings. They’d rather stand up for a teammate that took a legal check than any actually marginalized person. What makes this even worse—because let’s be real, every other team on this list would go to a Trump White House too—they couldn’t ****ing wait to let everyone know on the Sunday morning before Kneelageddon. Eat ****, Penguins. They’re winning a third straight Stanley Cup, because we live in hell.
    I wish this wasn't dead on

    It seems like half the league is in a bad cap situation.

    Duh, the owners sign stupid deals, then cry wolf and demand lockouts every time the CBA expires. Lather, rinse, repeat.

    The NHL is easily the dumbest organization out of all the major sports leagues. MLS has some weird, asinine roster rules and yet they can even get a CBA done. It amazes me how some NHL owners made their money.

    MLB has been actively trying to destroy its fan base for forty years.
