Joe thought that if St. George ran in 2008 as an R, he would have a tough time winning. The country was tired of 43, and BHO was a fresh face. McCain may have had a closer chance, but then he had a series of colossal brain fades and handed the election to Obama.

              I voted GOP that year.

              I didn't trust Clinton.
Bob Dole was a sacrificial lamb.
Gore suffered from Clinton fatigue and he blew it.
              Kerry? please.
              Obama - see above
Romney could have won, but his heart was not in it.
              H. Clinton - see Gore.

I do. Having spoken with him on a couple of occasions, he is pretty politically ambitious. He's a bit too close to the center to get anyone on the left real excited. Coupled with his lack of real name recognition and national clout, I don't see him getting the nomination. However, I do see him at least exploring a run, and he would jump at the chance to be VP.

From my original list the only ones I can't see taking a veep slot are:

                    Biden -- no reason
Cuomo -- if he ant startin he aint departin
Warren -- can do more good where she is

Everybody else would probably jump at it.

Yeah but when Fox got done with him he'd be a Kenyan Muslim black power terrorist with EMAILZ!!!11! who wants to take yer gunz, kill yer babby, and gay anal rape Our Brave Lads. That would be good enough to hold the dumbest 100 EVs for a Republican.

Jews make up 2% of the population. Women make up 51%. Slight difference.

I have not. Is that the Boston mayor?

                              Edit: yes, it is.

Well, I'll say one thing for him. He has a face so potato-moon central casting Dohchestah I want to stomp it repeatedly while reciting the box scores from each of the Eli Manning superbowl victories.

Jesus f-ck, I can hear that vile accent just looking at him. Get me a shiv.

Anyway, I'll read up on him.
