But in 2010 we were in power.

I'm saying that in that final 10 percent people are voting based on resentment and anger at the incumbent. It's not about issues or stances or policy or history. It's just that incumbency is a red cape and those people are the bull.

If this is true we should see an oscillation as the out party benefits from that anger, becomes the in party, and then immediately becomes hated for being the incumbent. Since neither party is able to materially help people the cycle is unbroken, as Republicans use their incumbency to enrich themselves and Democrats use their incumbency to repair some but never all of the damage.

LOL. And you think it's even?

That oscillation may occur but the number of intractable's (the ones that always vote one side or for their party's nominee) on the right FAR EXCEED the number on the left.

What is interesting is that the Republican Party obviously has this deep pool of nutjobs on the far Right, that the rest of the party willingly ignores just to keep majority control. The rest of the party kowtow's to the fringe.

Obviously we've seen a whole bunch of potential fracture points that should have happened, and yet, GOP stalwarts continue to plod along as if everything is a-okay.

What needs to happen before moderates and not so deep right leaning GOP's yell 'stop?'

No, there are more of us. We have the popular vote in 6 of the last 7 elections. We out-polled the GOP in House elections by over a million votes last time even in the face of the New Jim Crow.

There are more of us, and there are fewer of them every day as they die of their life decisions younger than we do. And while they use their women as incubators we also have the enormous majority of new immigrants.

Their only hope is to cheat and they couldn't even cheat on their own in 2016, they needed the Russians' help. We will continue to oscillate until either the plutes stage a coup or we get our republic back.

Given the morons who are just playing identity politics in trying to attack everything that happens just because Trump's in office, I don't blame him. He's still your President, no matter how much y'all want to ***** and complain. If you firmly believe he isn't, then GT*O.

It's being yelled now. What was seen in 2011 is exactly what's being seen today, and it takes a man like Donald Trump to stand up to those morons and say "no more". He has no deference to any political party; his deference is to the people.

Most of the people want him to step down. When is he going to defer to their will?

The EC can turn too, though. Only a year ago the CW was that the Democrats had an all-but unscalable EV firewall.

The GOP does get the house effect (actually, the Senate effect) of the "dirt and shrubs electors," but who knows how that will look in 20-30 years? You think as the red becomes more and more consumed by the plutes the farmers of NE and KS and those other forgettable states are going to keep casting their lot with those fancy east coast banker Jews who keep foreclosing on them? You just never know.

The GOP and the Echo Chamber have hitched their wagon to a dying demo because it's easier to scare old people and suck them dry. The Democrats went into eclipse from the 70s through the 00s in large part because we were hitched to the dying mass who remembered FDR saving the world. When that support goes it goes, and short of Google stealing a march on God Inc. and patenting Eternal Life, it will continue to run out the drain like expired milk. How much of Steven Colbert's audience will die in the next ten years? 5%? Now how much of Rush's? 50%?

The Noise Machine Scam is coming to an end but the GOP has painted themselves into a corner. How exactly does an old white male fascist party rebrand itself? Has that ever even happened? In other countries they've died off, but those were not two party systems.
