I paid the $6.95 for the second night in a row. Thomas and Grant got burned on way too many pinches tonight. That being said, Grant showed an ability to move the puck up ice I’d not noticed in him until this weekend. The D were outskated tonight and that’ll need to improve.

Yeah, I feel like Grant has some solid potential at this level. Just needed some adjustment time. The junior -> college gap is a big one, especially coming from the CCHL (where he was elite), which isn't exactly the strongest league in the CJHL.

Honestly, I didn't notice the pinches so much (and in general, I'm okay with taking a chance on a pinch every now and again), but what I did notice, and it's been a continual problem this whole season, is having a guy just blow by a defenseman on the outside and heading straight to the net. It happened at least 3 times last night.

Despite the above, good win by the Cats with some puck luck on the OT winner by Colton. Makes up for the Lowell goal in OT last weekend.

Agree with whoever said Espo's been a pleasant surprise (I mean, he's got almost as many points as Colton). I was really thinking Misley was going to be the star of the frosh class. He's been rather underwhelming, but will hopefully progress (despite Sneddon -- think Connor Brickley) into the player I thought he was going to be.

I think the 'blow by a defenseman' problem is because they are getting trapped too deep in the offensive zone when the other team gains possession of the puck.

If the wings are staying up high the D can't pinch in

I'm happy to see the guys start to string some wins together. Watching on TV this weekend it was clear to me that they are still playing hard, which is a credit to each and every player going over the boards given the way this season has gone. So despite all the troubles this year, I salute the players for playing with heart and pride.

I will add, though, that this does not change my opinion of the coaching staff and administration. Let's please not pretend that the team making a late push for a .400 season changes the long term, systemic issues at play here. We still need facilities. We still need a coaching staff that can bring us to a more consistent level of success.

              Go Cats.

Totally agree with this. Happy for the guys to have this three game win streak. It's been a long season and they deserve a little taste of success. Also agree that it does nothing to change my mind about Sneddon. He's gotta go!

Brian Bowen is doing well with the Railers: " Brian Bowen would extend that lead with his third goal in three games with a setup from Frankie DiChiara on an open net."

Healthy scratch last game to give him rest: https://thisweekinworcester.com/rail...in-everblades/

I was really excited to see how Bowen would play this year based on how he performed at the end of last year. Sneddon decided he wasn’t good enough to dress most games. Or maybe he pushed back against sneddy’s idiocy? I wonder if Vlad isn’t suffering the same fate...they both seem like strong personalities and are both clearly talented enough to dress as much as anyone.

This is going to be a tough weekend. We're going to have to rely on the counter IMO as PC is very good at controlling possession (4th best CF% in the nation). I think speed is a strength of this forward group, which is good when you're countering, but we'll see.

Is Vlad hurt, or is our coaching staff just extremely thick-headed?

                        • I wish they would fix the speaker at the student end. I’ve asked the rink crew several times. It faces south rather than west and you can’t hear s thing at that end of the ice.

Game played out as i figured. PC dominant in possession, UVM goals come from counters.

Wouldve taken a 2-2 tie pregame but the blown lead stings. Not sure where the ref got the penalty on the GTG from
