    The end is nigh.

Cleveland lost, and they're still on pace for 0-16.

Giants too on a last second 61 yard FG by the Iggles.

There were some questionable calls in that game as well. Offensive PI on OBJ when HE was the one being held, and the interference call on John Jerry on the defensive guy getting off the field... never saw that call in my life.

Von Miller getting called for unsportsmanlike after dropping Taylor cost the Broncos in Buffalo but whay cam you expect from the No Fun League?

That's the main reason people are losing interest. Sterling Shepard catches a pass and takes five steps in a he endzone but then loses the ball 10 yards out of bounds but yet it's incomplete? Please.

I still hate the "defenseless receiver" inconsistency. If the guy catches it, and gets blown up, it's OK. But if he doesn't catch it, then it's a penalty.

Any blow up needs to be flagged. The only acceptable tackle should be in the grasp and brought to the ground (besides out of bounds and surrender).

Agreed. Go one way or the other. Don't straddle that line. It's BS.

Then that would be a penalty even IF the player catches the ball. I'm fine with that. It is the inconsistency that bothers me.

Agree. It's also insidious because the kind of player who would go for the cheap hit is exactly the kind of player who sees the inconsistency and thinks he can sneak one in, and the risk may actually be even higher.

I don't mind at all the lower tolerance for targeting, late hits, head shots, etc. But like you the inconsistency drives me batsh-t insane. #robotumps

Yes. Plus defenselessness is like a thought crime applied to the DB. How can the onus of making that determination about the receiver be placed on the defender? It starts out as subjective.

You later sum it up perfectly: define legal and illegal contact objectively. If necessary, prohibit more types of hits to protect people, but don't turn it into a guessing game (if for no other reason than the receiver will then immediately start gaming legal contact).

Once again the press has it wrong. Players weren't kneeling down to protest the national anthem. They were on their knees worshiping Tom Brady for that awesome comeback. Even Kep had to be impressed...

Russell Wilson is going to give his OL coal for Christmas.

Also, Darren Sproles broke his arm AND tore his ACL on the same play yesterday.
