Agreed - It's good to see him playing so well recently. I suspect the team may need him to steal a game or two when the playoffs arrive. Also from last night I noticed that the light show during the goal celebration was much improved with more dimming and less flashing. Looked great!

It will be interesting to see how the team comes out tonight. Cornell always plays Union tough and I'm sure that Union's coaching staff will not want to go into the playoffs with a tie and a loss in recent memory.
          Let's Go Union!!

It would be nice if we could get a third ECAC team into the NCAA tournament, but that would mean Union would have to beat Cornell. Cornell's 1st seed in the pairwise is very fragile, so a lost to Union might drop us down to a 2 or 3 seed. Sorry guys, go Cornell :/.

We only blocked three shots in the first period ... that is not championship hockey. Cornell blocked 7.

I think it’s clear that Union can match up with Cornell anywhere. Both games (save for the first period at Lynah) showed me that Union had an answer for Cornell’s physical play and defense.

In the end of it all, I think a lot of us would have signed up for second place in this league after the 0-5 start to the season. Well done boys!!!

Cornell only had 7 shots. Union had 16. You can't block shots when you're the one with the puck.

In ice hockey, a shot on goal is a shot that directs the puck towards the net and either goes into the net for a goal or is stopped by the goaltender for a save. A shot that is deflected wide or blocked by an opponent does not count as a shot on goal, rather it is recorded as a blocked shot.

Total Shot attempts = Blocked shots + Missed the net wide + Shots that hit the post + Saves + Goals

You must have learned your hockey at St Rose ???

A great closing ceremony for Senior Night. Scarfo did a superb job giving his heartfelt thanks and credit for the team's success to Ainlay, Messa, Parents, Fans, and Fellow Team Members and it was a great idea taking a team photo with all of them. I don't know how we do it. Kupsky has really stepped up.

In 2012-2013 Brown was 7-9-6 in Conference play vs 7-14-1 today. In the ECAC tournament, they "went on a tear" and in the first round defeated Clarkson in 2. They then travelled to Troy to take on a championship calibre RPI team and defeated them in 3 and then defeated Qpac in Atlantic City in the ECAC semifinals. We barely beat them in the ECAC finals. Nothing is certain in the ECAC.

Dutch, think he meant they had sixteen shots so they had the puck so much they couldn't block any shots, maybe ? Cornell had only seven, hence not many attempts to block.

Yeah, you have to say it really, really slow for Dutchman to have any chance of understanding it. You, of course, had no problem understanding it.

As for the sad and senile rant on TSA, which addresses nothing, Union also had over twenty more attempted shots than Cornell because we had the puck most of the night. Again, you can't block shots when you have the puck. But thank you for bringing up a 2nd stat you don't understand that proves the opposite of whatever you think your point was.

Atlanta probably doesn’t know that colleges play hockey.

I think Dutchman was referring to 2013. Brown’s tear included beating the regular season champ Quinnipiac in the semifinals.
