        I can see it.

I don't think he will surpass "Herod the Vegas Lounge Rat" from the 2000 version, though. That's one of the few things they improved over the 70s take.

He's gotta be pushing 80. Edit: Only 69, huh.

If we're going for the dotards I'd have preferred Dylan. The man can make a d-mn fine theological argument. Too bad Morrison's dead. "You cannot petition the Lord with prayer!"

Except in Matthew 6 we have:
{6:5} And when ye pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, that love to stand and pray in the synagogues and corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men: Amen I say to you, they have received their reward.
{6:6} But thou when thou shalt pray, enter into thy chamber, and having shut the door, pray to thy Father in secret, and thy father who seeth in secret will repay thee.
{6:7} And when you are praying, speak not much, as the heathens. For they think that in their much speaking they may be heard.
{6:8} Be not you therefore like to them for your Father knoweth what is needful for you, before you ask him.
{6:9} Thus therefore shall you pray: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
{6:10} Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
{6:11} Give us this day our supersubstantial bread.
{6:12} And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
{6:13} And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil. Amen.
{6:14} For if you will forgive men their offences, your heavenly Father will forgive you also your offences.
{6:15} But if you will not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive you your offences.

                    1. No "I want you dead" looks from anyone.

                    2. Very old school, traditional service. No appeal to emotion.

                    3. Declined communion. Since I don't believe, it wouldn't have felt right.

                    4. Big hugs from the Rector.

                    5. Not sure if I'll go again, but if I did believe, it would be my church home.

Several yrs ago had a verrrry interesting conversation with a bunch of church folk where I go. There were very few people who believe without thought. Most everyone questioned believing in varying degrees. More than I expected were not sure of the big stuff. The only thing everyone seemed clear on was the gift of Grace from God. the take home from the conversation was if you believe that any other doubting is moot/forgiven.

FORT SMITH, Ark. -- In October of 2016, the Masjid Al Salam in Fort Smith was vandalized. But over one year later, the man behind the act, Abraham Davis, receives his ticket to freedom from the people he hurt the most.

"It shouldn't be hanging over him for the rest of his life," President of Al Salam Louay Nassri said.

October of 2016 Swastika's etched in spray paint and the words "go home" covered the front of the Masjid Al Salam.

The mosque security cameras caught the man behind the act.

"We knew this person did a bad thing and there has to be consequences for their actions," Nassri said. "But we didn't have any ill feelings towards anybody."

Abraham Davis' felony charge consisted of community service and a hefty fine.

A task Davis might not have been able to complete on his own.

"We heard that he was having financial problems," Nassri said. "Now if you don't pay your fine, that's an automatic six years in jail. Well, we didn't want him to go to jail for six years."

So just before the new year arrives, president of Al Salam Louay Nassri decided to write a check for one-thousand seven hundred dollars to wipe away the rest of Davis' fines.

"After all that he had been through, we didn't want him sitting on the severe financial stress," Nassri said. "And like I told him, we want him to have a much better future."

The large sum of money was originally set aside for renovations to the mosque.

"We thought this was the right thing to do," Nassri said. "We thought if someone does something bad and came and apologized, you just forgive them. That should be the natural thing. We had no idea that this forgiveness would be an international story."

Nassri says "Al Salam" means "peace" and he continues to uphold that meaning.

"If he would've known who we are, he wouldn't of done this," Nassri said. "If we would've known his troubles with us, we would've tried to help him.

So is Jesus dead or alive?

The Creeds (Apostle and Nicene) tell us that He "ascended into heaven". Meaning that his corporal body went with Him when He left us ~2,000 years ago.

His mortal body died but was reanimated some 40 hours later (3pm Friday to 7am Sunday). But the God side then went to Hell (Limbo) and released all the good souls of the dead since the Fall into Heaven. Do we then conclude that some portion of Jeshua bar Yahweh didn't die when He died on the cross?

Plus, God(s) don't die. They exist in a different plane (Heaven, Valhalla, etc.) than we do. Occasionally one of them or their surrogates pierces the planes and exists in ours for a bit.

For us believing Catholics Christ's mother, Mary (Miriam), is a favorite.

A lot (all) of this is Faith. Unfortunately time travel hasn't been discovered so we don't know for sure what actually happened between Passover and Pentecost way back when.
