Everyone holds serve this weekend, so likely no changes in the top of the playoff rankings. 2 weeks left, and here is where we stand:

    1. Alabama - The Tide are in the best position out of anyone. Alabama is #1 for certain if they win out. They might already be a lock for the Playoff, even if they fall to Auburn next week.
    2. Clemson - The Tigers are a lock if they win out. There are scenarios where they could make it with a loss to USC and win over Miami, but Clemson almost certainly needs to win the ACC to make the playoff.
    3. Miami - In the right set of scenarios, the Canes could make the Playoff if they lose to Pitt, but knock off Clemson...or vice versa. They are a lock if they win out.
    4. Oklahoma - The Sooners are a lock if they win out. A second loss probably knocks them out, particularly if it comes in the Big 12 Title game.
    5. Wisconsin - The Badgers must win out to make the Playoff. Anything less and they will almost certainly fall short.
    6. Auburn - The Tigers need to win out to have any shot. Auburn could be shut out of the Playoff even if they do win the SEC title. They likely need either Oklahoma or Wisconsin to lose.
    7. Georgia - The Bulldogs need to win out too have any shot. It will be very interesting to see the rankings if 2-5 hold serve (minus the Clemson/Miami loser), and Georgia wins the SEC. Who would be the odd team out between Alabama, Clemson/Miami winner, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Georgia. If Georgia beats Auburn for the title, it could possibly be the one scenario where Alabama fails to make the Playoff.
    8. Notre Dame - The Irish are out. They needed chaos to happen this weekend to get back in the mix. It didn't, and Notre Dame will look to next year to try and make their first Playoff.
    9. Ohio State - The Buckeyes need to win out to have any shot, along with Alabama winning out. If Alabama loses (either next week or in the SEC title game), Ohio State probably needs Oklahoma to lose out.

Early yet but Miami is down 3 to Pitt at halftime.
A bad cause requires many words.

But then recover stripped ball. Game.

It's not Thanksgiving weekend if Pitt isn't ruining someone's season.

So who does this help? Clemson-Miami still seems like the winner gets in. Same with Alabama-Georgia. (Both of those assuming no further upsets of course.) If Wisconsin wins out they'd have to be in, despite a weak schedule, no way an undefeated major champ is out. And Oklahoma is likely in if they win out. With the Pac-12 having no superpower left basically the other major conference champs can expect to be in without any upsets. Maybe this clears an ever-so slight path for Notre Dame if more conference favorites lose games, but also their loss to Miami looks worse now. So maybe this doesn't change that much.
