Everyone has cost overruns. The Olympics is like a consulting gig - the sales guys talk about all the long-term positive economic impact it will have, with hundreds of millions of dollars in spending on infrastructure projects. After everyone's been wined and dined, and the project has been sold, then they hand it off to the engagement manager. The EM runs the numbers and immediately says, "Hey wait a minute, sales only estimated $10 million for a new velodrome - that's going to cost at least $25 million based on the quotes we're getting from contractors!" starting to see just how popular track and field is (er, "athletics") in the rest of the world. 2 of the sports channels show events all the time.
on review it is like nascar but with slower speeds and the crashes are not as exciting.a legend and an out of work bum look a lot alike, daddy.Comment
