This is true; I remember Perry Laskaris mentioning at least one shift between F and D; don't recall who or which way.

Marisa Raspa, a forward, played D.

Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

I'm back . Actually, I have been here all along, but as an observer rather than as my normally opinionated commentator. Glad to see that the thread continues to be one of the more active team threads for women's D1 hockey.

Wishing the new coaching staff well. I considered John Burke to be a friend so was sad to see him go, but change is sometimes necessary.

Season is off to a slow start for team. Three point weekends are nothing to sneeze at, but when it is a home series against two teams that you need to be above in the standings it is nothing to celebrate. Team seems to lack the jump / speed (so far) of typical Engineers teams but its early. Maybe lack of off-season conditioning due to the tumultuous summer?

Time for KRACH predictions! A three point weekend was lovely, but with two separate leads, we really need to put away Yale. Anyway, life goes on. Obviously this coming weekend's games against UConn don't actually matter, but we need to keep some momentum going before we head to Princeton and Quinnipiac.

                        RPI KRACH (RRWP): 50.65 (0.3628)

                        MCTs (Mean/Median/Mode/Range):
                        Points - 16.83 / 18 / 17 / 3 - 34
                        Rank - 8.80 / 9 / 9 / 1 - 12
                        Playoffs - 35.1%
Most likely opponent - at Clarkson (14.0%)

The coaching change should have nothing to do with the off season conditioning. I do not see what you are seeing.
More likely it was a much needed change to systems play and the need to learn a new system. I believe you should see shots on goal are up and shots against down. Not asking the goalie to save 50 a game.

There must be some injuries as well, with players being placed to fill in at positions.

Nice regrouping to tie on Sat. They played to soft Fri. Like that the SOG has increased so much, eventually they will start hitting the back of the net. Always a challenge to adjust to new systems, structure and culture.

Obviously the games against UConn last weekend didn't directly affect the ECAC standings, but they caused us to take a pretty big hit in KRACH. We're still projected to land in 9th, but our expected points dropped by like 1.4 points, leading to a sizeable gap between us and Dartmouth.
