It's not time yet. It's only June 18th after all and school's only been out for a month. Patience! Let these kids have a break! They have a life, not like those of us in here!

2019 recruit Madisen Peterson had a goal (shorthanded GWG) and an assist in today's game at the U18 Development Camp. https://teamusa.usahockey.com/tourna...ferrer=3834351. She had no points in her first two games.

One from Denmark whom we didn't know about. She played with Josefine Hansen on the Danish national team.

Edit: The Gentofte Stars U17 and U20 teams she played on last season are boys teams.

Still no second AC unless Marc Cavosie is now full time. I assume that is he on the left.

At least he has good playing experience. The women’s game needs more men and women coaches with a solid playing backgrounds, real “hockey” people

Does RPI have any alumnae who are coaches?

I thought alumnae was singular female, and "alumni" was the only plural version?

Wrong. For females alumna is the singular and alumnae is the plural.

For males it's alumnus and alumni.

Alumni is also used for both genders together. Many people will just use alum and alums to avoid the whole complicated mess.

                                Correct.

I can still hear my mother saying "That's the problem with American schools. They don't require eight years of Latin."

As you know, I use my actual name as a username here. That is because I was quite naïve about 20 years ago. When I joined the Clarkson and Cornell boards, I decided to use Ursaminor, the name of the constellation which I thought meant little bear, and it would refer to my height and my name. Although I should have known that Ursa is a female bear and Ursus a male bear, by comparing to Alumna and Alumnus, it did not cross my mind. It's real hard to tell male from female from about a half-dozen stars. Someone on the Cornell board informed me and it was changed. It was finally also changed on the Clarkson board quite recently.

Addendum: Someone else once told me that Minor actually means lesser in importance as opposed to small.
