That will all be forgotten in a couple of months if they win the Olympic gold. Of course then we will have to listen to US fans whine about what a rotten coach Stauber is - despite having won the World & 4-Nation. If it is the US that takes gold then the wailing & gnashing of teeth in the True North will be unbearable and next year the whole team will be turned over.
I for one won't be whining about Stauber, if they lose the Gold, again. I will however wonder why they would cut what I consider the best all around Gopher defensive player that I've seen skate inside Ridder Arena since they first dropped the puck there in 2002.

I was happy to see them add Haley Skarupa to the team and then maybe when teamed with her former linemate Alex Carpenter would add the right chemistry and shall we say creativity to the team. Oh well, so much for that. What's next? Break up the Brandt, Kessel and Cameranesi line? Dumb and then dumber? Maybe on January 2nd it will all be like that episode of Dallas and just a bad dream?

Both teams have made personnel moves that I do not understand. However, like Frost making decisions I disagree with, Stauber has more championships than I do so I won't second guess him. If USA finishes second I will wonder how we can win the worlds & 4-nation but not the Olympics. And that is not just Stauber, that is every USA team

With all of the (mostly negative) talk about the upcoming Olympics let's not lose sight of the U18 World's, which gets underway in Russia three days from now. Very nice that this feature story is about three of the Gopher recruits on the USA team - wishing these three (Taylor Heise, Gracie Ostertag and Madeline Wethington) plus the other three future Gophers (Abbey Murphy, Makayla Pahl and Sydney Shearen) all the best in helping the USA win a 4th consecutive U18 Women’s Worlds Title!

                  Hard to argue with success!

I also see where Taylor Heise has been named team captain, and Ostertag and Wethington will be assistant captains (along with Harvard commit Dominique Petrie).

I'm pretty confident D2D got that I was pointing out Maggie Nicholson was missed in his original statement but that whole "future Gopher" aspect seems to have eluded you.

BTW, Since you really only care about another team how many are on their "current" roster?

You know that Canada's assistant coach is Clarkson HC Matt Desrosiers and there are 3 CCT skaters on that team?
