Re: Rep retirement lodge CC - greetings from heathrow
BA is experiencing a worldwide IT issue (mookie blames dx and his cronies who KNOW how to run computers ). Really want to get to London and put up there for a day or two until the delay is worked out. Mookie can live with that!!

Good morning Lodge! Waiting outside my nail salon. It opens at 9am. I'm 10 minutes early. Little chilly this morning to be waiting outside in flip flops!

Morning, Lodge. Think I have today planned out. Heading out with a buddy to a local pizza place that is allegedly top notch in the state (Pig Ate My Pizza), then across the street to Wicked Wort (local taproom) where they FINALLY have their raspberry wheat beer on tap/for growlers.
Looks to be a fine day to be out and about.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Good Evening, Lodge!
Busy day today. Went out for breakfast and then hit up a mattress shop and a used furniture place. Bought a new mattress and found a dining room table set and 2 side tables. Then had to get a storage unit as we have no place to store the dining set. At least the mattress can be on hold until July 1. After the storage unit, we went to another furniture store to look at living room furniture. The place had good prices, but would have killed us on delivery. Called a place that we looked at earlier and saved ourselves $200 for the exact same set. Now we have to worry about just the small items and accessories when it comes to the new place. Moving will be a different story.

That was a full day.
The pizza was amazing; for the locals, it's worth the hype and the price. Wicked Wort was good, too. I added a stop to cash in a howler (basically half-growler) at another place, had a better experience than last time. Talked with a fellow patron who just re-located from CA, so it was interesting to get his perspective on the craft beer scene.

shopping for house stuff is always fun. When we started out we were dirt poor. Loved Salvation Army, Goodwill and Capital. The last one was like a job lots only much less organized and clean. We found some stuff with real character- some of which we still use and is better quality than if we tried to replace!

My furniture (now about 12-13 years old) came from the Slumberland outlet store. Still in prime condition, and good prices.

When we first bought 'real' furniture we bought everything to match. Learned over time to mix and match. The 'matching' sets are frequently not very match-able to anything else if one piece dies.
