Aside from the two week roadie in February, seems like a pretty balanced schedule.

Also starting to feel like a Thanksgiving tradition to play Tech.

      Re: Alaska Nanooks 2017-2018 Season

I had heard this a while ago, but since his name was omitted on the 17-18 roster in today's release I think we can safely say now that Jesse Jenks will not be back.

John Mulally's name was also not on the list.

Here is the release discussing our recruits for next year: http://alaskananooks.com/news/2017/5...s-of-2021.aspx

I had heard that Woods may not be coming back for his redshirt senior season, but his name is on the list. We have a strong, veteran group of defensemen this year, not losing any from last year and the long awaited return of Kyle Froese. Which we will need with 3 goalies who have not played a game of division 1 hockey.

Word is that Martinsson will be #1.

Hate when that happens, even with a clear number one.

Though when we got King & Reiter as both freshman it worked out well.
Just to be clear. My disinterest in this team became of the Uni's disinterest. Without the success of the hockey team, the other teams would not be where they are. Way to pay back the hockey team. **** UAA.

Gootee family establishes scholarship endowment for Nanook Hockey.

Welcomed news for Nanook Hockey and thanks to the Gootee family for supporting the Nanook Hockey program and community. Maybe next year at this time Mr. Parayko will gather all the loose change in his seat cushins and also fund a scholarship endowment.

UAFAA's Hockey Chapter also donated $50,000 to fund an endowed scholarship. Coach is turning out to be quite the fundraiser.

Is this new, or is it the fund that already provides $50,000 a year to the hockey program?

Sweet. I wish UAA had alumni who were willing to donate. They are pretty stingy with their money.

One thing Dallas has quietly done in the background is reunite the hockey alumni with the program. It's paid some dividends.

Sucks, but it is what it is.
