UAF made the kind of hockey history on October 10th 2015 that no team wants to claim – the Nanooks became the first NCAA Division I victim of Arizona State.

Who knows. There are only 60 DI head coaching jobs in the entire nation. UAA has a lot of choices I'm sure. Maybe not what YOU would consider the best quality choice, but choices.

        From ADN:

"According to NCAA, the (UAF) hockey team used ineligible players in every game played from the 2007-08 season to the 2010-11 season. Over that span, the wins and ties will all become losses. 4 wins and 2 ties came against rival UAA".

        UAF is 56-86-12 vs. UAA.

According to the News Miner, an announcement on the head coach will be made Sunday.

The reporter asked the acting AD if he was still hoping to have a coach by April 15th, which was the intent mentioned early on. He said yes. Probably could be a few days earlier, or a few days later, depending on how things go. Getting it right is the most important thing. If there is one thing we have learned is announce your new head coach, not who you made an offer to. We have two good candidates IMHO. If Lance is selected, I hope we never know if he was the first or second choice.

When is the gaming commission doing their background check?
