Interesting that Kepler is a C and hasn't played a single game for them. I think her desire to be a Badger and her willingness to sit out an entire year to do so says a lot. IIRC, she scored a goal against UW on her first shift for OSU (she was in the starting line-up for OSU) and the Kepler crowd went nuts. I think she was saying to MJ "you should have recruited me" right at that point.
Wellhausen has the genetics to be a great leader, no real shock there.
Shaver and Williams are kind of out of the blue, but I do believe both have endured personal losses or loved ones being quite ill (as has Wellhausen), which does build character.
One would assume next year Clark and Pankowski are C's in some capacity, with Shaver and Williams.
Going to be a fascinating year for sure with so many new faces.
