Someone tell NBC that most goals wins. They seem to have forgotten that.

The officiating in that first period was beyond brutal. Unbelievable

And now the Preds score on themselves. Kessel will probably get credit for it.

              Make that 4-1. Malkin

With two goals tonight, Jake Guentzel sets an American-born rookie record for goals (12) & points (19) in an NHL postseason.

All hail Pittsburgh, our first true dynasty in 20 years. Malkin for Conn Smythe. Crosby for POTUS (yes, we'll amend the Constitution to allow it).

Jake Guentzel has 5 game-winning goals this postseason, the most by a rookie in the postseason in NHL history.

In case anybody doesn't get showtime, or missed their "all access" documentary from the first part of the conference finals.

Preds are this generation's 1991 MN North Stars. Nice story, but ultimately sacrificial. Ironic it's the same opponent, too.

And three more than he had in his entire career at Omaha.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

That's because he had a below average college coach.

Not unlike the '81 North Stars which ran into a NYI dynasty.
