Nah, Tampa made it so you couldn't buy directly if you had an out of state billing zip code. You could buy via secondary, there were no checks at the arena.

I would. That's the kind of **** that would make me hate playing for a team as a player. They have the voice to actually affect change.

Nashville does not card at the door, you should question people who tell you these type of things. Like Tampa, if you wanted to buy a ticket through Nashville's website let's say a Blackhawks game and your billing address had a IL zip then the purchase didn't go through. You would be free to buy on a website like Stubhub. I have been to a handful of Hawks games down in Nashville and have only been treated well by fans and staff.

Carded at the door for residency at a NHL game.... Thanks for the laugh.

I wonder how Vegas is going to react to playing "away" games at their home arena. What do you think the % of visiting fans will be at the Knight games the first few years? Over 50%?

In the beginning it will be like when the Dodgers and Giants played the Mets at the Polo Grounds when teams from NY, LA and Chicago are in town. But then they'll acquire a following, and the Vegas-Henderson area is actually HUGE and growing faster than cancer.

It will be interesting to follow, how many of those people actually know hockey exists in Vegas. There is a lot of competition in Vegas for the locals $$$. Big gamble for the NHL in Vegas

We've had a desert team with more road than home fans for years already.

What's in Vegas for the locals to do? I doubt they care much about the strip and gambling.

I don't know who I dislike more in the league Perry or Bieska.

I wish Fisher was playing last night to put Bieska back in his place in the final minute.

And incredible restaurants. And legal escorts. And illegal escorts just outside of town. And an incredible landscape once you get to the western edge of the caldera. Dr. Mrs. & I seriously considered retiring there and neither of us gamble. Or strip.

                              Yet.

For locals there is also a growing arts and music scene all the way from high brow to gutter punk (which is, you know, high brow for smart teens). And there's roller derby if you like dykes (I mean, I do). Cool book stores, festivals, all the neat sh-t that a real city offers.

Was Bieska the one with that cementhead crosscheck behind the play in the last minute? Completely useless and unnecessary and *** move. I didn't understand why he'd do that, or why his coach had him out there if he was going to do it. What's the message you're sending? "We lost"?
