Not hockey related, but pretty good article in the sun regarding the Men's soccer team and the players from Croatia. Finally this is the year where all of the sports teams are post season eligible.

Holy Cow! Got the invite for the Hall of Fame thing. 100$ per person. I guess the effort to involve the little people and claim we are a 'blue collar' institution is dead. I miss the days when the average Joe could feel involved and participate. Now, if you aren't well off you get to look at the elites as they go by.

Well, that's when you consider it a donation to the school.

To me though, that's a "I could afford it but why would I?"

What about all those who can't afford 200/couple? That is very steep in my house (and we don't have a choice about it). I miss the days when the average Joe, blue collar person, could feel important and involved in team stuff. Dating myself but I loved the Friends group. They were average people who were dedicated fans, went everywhere and cared for each other and the team. Now we have rich people courted because they have money. I guess that makes me old and a cynic.
