I would do it if the winner gets to keep the other team's jerseys. Too bad I've never seen the inside of a weight room in my life...

That victory would be almost as sweet as the last game we played SCSU in their barn. Tech beat them and then I won the SCSU jersey raffle. I went down the ice wearing my Tech jersey and security tried to keep me off the ice.
"Sorry, only jersey raffle winners can go on the ice with the players."
"Yeah, I know, that's why I'm going out there..."

We took the win, and their jerseys for good measure.

Well I would have loved to ask the coach on his show today how he felt about the new deal for Mike Hastings? and his feelings on the und woman's program decision.

I think part of that is just a smoke screen because nothing has officially been completed. He was just given an offer of a 10-year contract which could have been a wage freeze for the last five years for all we know. I also liked this paragraph from the press release and noted how they avoided any wording mentioning the WCHA or "our conference" (think this was directed at the NCHC...?)

"As part of a thorough review of Maverick men's hockey last summer, we had benchmarked resources against the top teams in other leagues and made a commitment to these future program enhancements," noted Davenport. "We are now operationalizing [Ooooo big school word] those plans, which is indicative of our desire to position Maverick hockey to compete as effectively as possible against the very best programs in the country."

What this tells me is that the Mankato women's team is soon to be cut.

Oh man I thought they tore that down and that's why the Wranglers folded.
Just to be clear. My disinterest in this team became of the Uni's disinterest. Without the success of the hockey team, the other teams would not be where they are. Way to pay back the hockey team. **** UAA.

The Casino wanted the Wranglers out to open up more dates.

You would win the other team's jersey raffle. Of course you would.

Kero had a goal + assist in the Hawks game vs. Pittsturd yesterday. Already earning his deal.

Here's a bit on him seizing his chance.

If you live far enough away that you're thinking about flying into DLH for the Icebreaker - you might want to re-think that if you live within a 12-hour drive and can afford the extra day(s) of PTO. I'm currently seeing $450+ out of DTW for "main cabin" (not "basic"/restricted economy), and that's with the required connection in MSP. Yuck. Those of you who aren't Delta hub/loyalty captives may have better luck on price (but I doubt it - seems United is the only other option).

If you are not opposed to a little driving, just fly to MSP (Minneapolis) and you might save a couple hundred bucks on your flight. You are also likely to save on your rental car as well. Base rates for cars out of MSP under $10 per day are not uncommon as you get closer to the days you need the car (Maybe $20-$25 per day with all the taxes and fees, but still very reasonable). Duluth is an easy two hour drive up the interstate and you can enjoy some Fall colors along the way.

                        As an example for airfare:
                        $145 Denver to MSP
$426 Denver to Duluth (via MSP)
That leaves you a lot of extra "beverage money"...

Pretty sure that is pushed to next season, since we got in the Icebreaker this year, and have a chance to play Duluth there.

So if I was guessing i'd say 2018/19 would be Duluth home, at Wisconsin, GLi, and maybe Notre Dame at home?

No, we get Wisconsin at home in 18-19, and I think Notre Dame was a 1-off.

We have UMD and UW scheduled to be in Houghton at some point, I believe both will be 2018-19. I'm not sure if Notre Dame was a one-off but I know MTU is trying to get them to come to Houghton and I have them penciled in as a home series next.
