    Good Morning Lodge!
Everything I read about gypsum on the Extension websites, regardless of school, say it is only for fixing a very specific mineral imbalance. They recommend core aeration, peat, and time.

Morning, Lodge. Church today, of course. Then waiting to see if we get snow or rain. Guessing the latter.
Considering the cost of having someone now your lawn, this is incorrect.

Anyway I never minded mowing the lawn.

I'd pay the neighbor kids way more than $10 to not mow your lawn.

Hell, in 2001, my best friend was doing his parents' lawn for $20, and two of his neighbors' lawns for $30 each.

Yeah, a professional service once a week would be hundreds to mow and hundreds to fertilize and weed. You could blow through near a grand if you had a full lawn service.

Ok, so pay the neighborhood kid less than that. You understood my point, is the thing.

It's a tough market. But I'll give you the same advice I gave my brother.

Don't let yourself fall in love with a place and overpay for it. Not unless you are 100% sure it's your forever home. Stick to the real price and be prepared to lose a few houses.

People are making stupid house decisions again. Don't fall into that trap.

Our realtor is a good friend of ours. He will flat out tell us if a place is worth it or not. We passed on a place because it was on the market over value.

You said yourself that a pro company will charge hundreds. So, still way cheaper, and you don't have to do it.
