I'd have sworn it started later in the year. I remember inviting some rightwing friends over to see it after what I thought was only a few episodes. The episode they saw? Of course: Mr. Hankey.

          They Were Not Amused.

Edit: turns out that was episode 9.

In all honesty, I feel like the show is far more than 20 years old. The rot they pointed out has accelerated.

The full episode(s) of the DuckTales premiere is on YouTube.

Disney is definitely cranking the hype train to full power on this.

Not having cable, I wasn't aware of it until a couple months in. I remember getting a VHS tape from a friend that he had taped a bunch of the initial episodes on.

My wife and I just returned from our wedding/honeymoon in Thailand and watched EP1 together. I've rarely seen her laugh so hard at something on TV.

                We celebrate #20 tomorrow.

finally finished the last 8 episodes of 24-the president today. the maggie q fight scene was a stretch. seems like the 2nd season was set up to be 24 redux with the cliffhanging end. not so sure it's worth a view from mookie when it starts up again.

Season 1 of Ozarks was outstanding!

On a whim I watched Halt and Catch Fire...blew through season 1 in like 2 days and loved it. Just started season 2

I started watching that when it first came on, but I just couldn't get into it. I liked the tech aspect, I mean I love "The Social Network" and anything tech related, but I felt they kept going down too many other dramatic but unnecessary sidetracks. Does it get back on track after the first few episodes?

                            Ok, comic book people:

I loved Jessica Jones. Patiently awaiting the new season. Saw good reviews for The Defenders overall, but how plugged into the other series do you need to be?
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

It is off and on though as they get closer to Comdex it definitely goes full tilt on the "us vs. them" of Cardiff and IBM. The second season is very techy as it is about the rise of the internet...

I posted this on the Movie thread, and Hall Monitor Handy ticketed me on it. So . . .

I'm rerunning West Wing. Kind of remember most of it and don't exactly know why I would want to waste time rewatching something more than a couple hours long. But it's so dam good. Still.
