ECAC Playoffs, RPI@Clarkson on Saturday, March 4th

Second game in road playoff series vs Clarkson. While losing 7-4, our Red outscored them, 3-1, in the third.
Carry that last period over for the full game tonight! Let's Go, Red!

It was like they came out to play a regular season game, and it took them two periods to realize that the playoffs are different.
Now lets play a full sixty minutes of playoff hockey.

Please tell me if I'm wrong as I only had the audio on.

Didn't seem like we penetrated the zone as much as we should have. Couldn't seem to cross the blue line. Limited our chances.

I'm of course excepting the last 5min which was full of penalties.

At least we get Tironese back tonight. Should make a difference.

Re: ECAC Playoffs, RPI@Clarkson on Saturday, March 4th

I had two positive omens for tonight's game. At least I think that they are positive.

    1. While looking for something else, I stumbled across the issue of The Sporting News discussing RPI's 1985 championship win. I don't think that I have seen it in over 5 years.

    2. I was doing a crossword puzzle waiting for German class to begin. One clue was "Alma mater of crossword legend Tyler Hinman". (Hi to RPIPuzzleGuy, if he is reading this. )

    1.) Is that true?
2.) Did he make the crossword?, and
3.) Was it "RPI" or "Rensselaer?"

    1.) Yes
2.) No, Tom Houston. The puzzle is in the 3/2-3/8 issue of the Epoch Weekend, a free paper. Their website http://www.theepochtimes.com/ which I don't think has their puzzles.
    3.) RPI

Are we really going to have a "strange looking forward" dressed tonight?

Princeton/CCT did not go to overtime. Obviously Cornell/SLU could still do so...
It was an honor to present your colors, RPI. Let's Go 'TUTE!

And Cornell/SLU is a final, so this game will start on time.
