    The losing Monopoly Piece....

So, there was a vote and the Thimble lost, so it will be replaced. A couple of pieces that are up for consideration to replace it? A hashtag and an emoji. Seriously. http://money.cnn.com/2017/02/16/tech...-vote-thimble/

However, if it's the emoji, the only logical emoji is the poop emoji.

I always thought the pieces were in some way related to sectors of the economy. Top hat -- banking, iron -- textiles, etc.

My suggestion for pieces in 1930 and now:

    1930
    top hat -- banking
    iron -- textiles
    car -- auto
    derrick -- oil
    wheelbarrow -- construction
    plow -- agriculture

    2017
    cash register -- retail
    beaker -- science
    stethoscope -- medicine
    laptop -- computers
    windmill - renewables
    trophy wife -- finance

I'm surprised that they don't have more special edition Monopoly versions.

The international travel version might have Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Great Pyramid, Washington Monument, Christ the Redeemer statue, and a Terra Cotta Warrior as game pieces.

? I thought there were trillions of them.

But I'm not sure if they have themed pieces. The Cornell version would have to include a hockey player. And a suicide.

The new tokens are a duck, a T-Rex, and a penguin. Gone are the wheelbarrow, boot, and thimble.
