Black gets the start again for SNC. Megariotis starts today instead for CSS.
After 1
CSS 0
SNC 4
SNC has just 6 shots on goal but scored on 4. The first two we're 5 hole that he would probably like back. The third was a tip in front during a PP. the last was a nice shot from the left face off circle.
CSS has just 2 SOG. Saints never really got anything set up for sustained in the offensive zone.

No disrespect...but I just get no excitement with the D3 teams playing D2 teams.....it is almost like exhibition....I guess we don't have to worry about it much longer.
The game doesn't seem to mean much, unless Norwich was to lose, but they are part of the NEHC and for this year the game needs to be played. And while I'm typing Pellitier scores to make it 5-0.

It will still happen, but it will no longer be part of the ECAC-E/NEHC schedule. Probably the last time for a while that NU will play St. Mikes. In a way it is a shame, and I wish the NCAA would have made some accommodation for the DII teams that didn't want to play Division I schedules. The were definitely at a recruiting disadvantage relative to DIII - by agreement they didn't offer scholarships and they did not have an NCAA title to play for. Probably the team that was most hurt by this was St. Anselm, who had a historically decent program, but nowhere to go.

Norwich finishes the regular season 21-1-3. And Norwich will get its 3rd new travel partner next year with (I assume) Castleton. Back in the day when Middlebury was Norwich's travel partner during the ECAC-E/NESCAC period most teams dreaded the 0 for 2 in Vermont weekends, then NESCAC left and St. Mike's (Div II) picked up the responsibility. Changes continue.
