Not looking to get involved in an East vs West debate because it's dumb, but two things to consider:

1- There are twice as many Eastern region teams
    2- Middlebury

More teams or not and taking Middlebury out of the equation, the West still didn't have the record Vs. the East like now.

I would blast the Western folks back in the late 90s early 2000s with the simple phrase of "win something". It's time for the Eastern teams to shut up and win. I have zero issue with the Western teams getting the benefit of the doubt in todays hockey world.

While I understand the whole region/conference allegiance sentiment (especially being from Big Ten country where the Big Ten's representation and performance in the Rose Bowl is of utmost importance), it really doesn't make any sense. Teams, not regions, win championships. For me, bragging and taking pride in Trinity winning the National Championship two years ago because they were from the East is the equivalent of the Vanderbilt fan bragging about SEC dominance in football.

I spent most of my business career enjoying fish frys, beer cheese soup and Leinenkugel beer from Bayfield to Beloit and everywhere in between...lovely people and beautiful state.

Hmmm, seems like an odd time to have been "blasting western folks." Coming off the heels of a decade that saw Point and River Falls win multiple national championships... then Superior in '02... then the beginning of SNC's run.

Whatever. It is true, Middlebury resided in the Eastern region.

As expected, Wisconsin cheesemakers dominate U.S. championship

The result is similar to that of the World Championship Cheese Contest held a year ago in Madison where state cheesemakers won 127 of the 333 awards, or 38.1 percent of the total.

And it isn't even dyed with orange (some call it yellow) dye (that is called "natural" because it is made from a plant, but it isn't the natural color of the cheese).

It's still orange, and not a natural color for cheese
