    But I meant from a standpoint of who was selling out at the Beacon and moving product.

      If you’re a Bostonian of a certain age, you may want to watch “Where Have All the Good Times Gone?,” a documentary about Boston’s rock scene. It’s narrated by WBCN legend Charles Laquidara and features interviews with Aimee Mann, Steven Tyler and Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith, Dan Zanes of the Del Fuegos, Greg Hawkes of the Cars, Dave Minehan of the Neighborhoods, T.T. the Bear’s Place owner Bonney Bouley, and many other familiar faces from back in the day.

        It's funny that the greatest rock and roll song about Boston, and in fact one of the 10 greatest rock and roll songs of all time -- a song so f-cking driving and iconic it actually makes me nostalgic for my time living in Boston for the duration of its runtime, is not included in that group.

          BTW, a Comment on that video claims the keyboardist on that song went on to the Talking Heads, and the drummer went on to the Cars. Is either statement true? I had no idea.

          (I actually had no idea the Cars were a Boston band. Growing up I imagined that sound to be from west of the Mississippi.)

            Yep, true. Not sure if either were original members, but both Jerry Harrison and David Robinson spent time in the Modern Lovers.
            What kind of cheese are you planning to put on top?

              That's one helluva band. Almost a shame they didn't stay together, though from what I've read Richman's personality can best be described as... unpleasant.

                People forget (or don't know) that The Runaways had Joan Jett, Lita Ford, and Mickey (can't remember last name), but she ended up in the Bangles. That's a darn good lineup, too.
                Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

                      The body of Sheila Abdus-Salaam, the first female Muslim judge in the United States, was found floating in the Hudson River Wednesday afternoon.

                      The New York Post reports that Abdus-Salaam was discovered by witnesses who called 911. Abdus-Salaam, who was an associate judge on the Court of Appeals, had been reported missing from her Harlem home earlier Wednesday.

                      Abdus-Salaam was not only the first female Muslim judge in the county; she was also the first black woman to be appointed to the Court of Appeals. She graduated from Columbia Law School and started her career as a staff attorney at East Brooklyn Legal Services and was elected to the Supreme Court in 1993. In 2013, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo appointed her to the Court of Appeals in 2013.
