Drew Hickey is a late addition to the 2018 incoming freshman class. 20-year-old (DOB:10/28/97) 5'11", 181 lbs., right-shot defenseman. Was captain of Connecticut Junior Rangers in the National Collegiate Development Conference. Leading scorer among NCDC defensemen 7G 27A 34Games. In the spirit of acknowledging a new recruit, welcome Drew. My guess is he didn't take much out of the scholarship pot and appears to be a respectable addition to the D corp. I like his numbers and he is probably very excited and wanting to prove (as in a slight chip) that he was worth the nod.

What happened?

Good question. Looked like he had a 2nd pairing ceiling (at UNH) as a frosh, now he can't even get out of the stands (and when he did it was as a 4th line forward IIRC). That -22 season before last was a warning sign, for sure. I forget who he was paired with as a frosh; could be his frosh season D-partner covered up for a lot of mistakes, that were exposed the following season?

Lowry: Have you and the UNH coaches agreed on a target date for you to enroll as a freshman at UNH and join the team? Curran: The UNH coaches and I have agreed on the year of 2020. I would point out that Miller and Cefalu hopefully have very little scholarship money tied up, so little will become available. Probably just the two Vela/Nazarian.

Not to split hairs with your spreadsheet, but am I wrong in assuming that Patric G. has received his redshirt year and will only be a sophomore? The website lists him as such. I have always assumed that it had at least a half ride if not more.
