Although a little misguided in the details I would have to agree with the overall message of the article. And no I am not a Ryan Lambert fan, and no I am not being a pessimist, rather a realist. Maine is still climbing the ladder and although the team has put together two weekends in a row that we haven't seen in Orono for a long time, those two weekends do not anoint us "king of the hill". I believe it is important to hope for continued improvement throughout the year knowing that we will take some lumps along the way, and perhaps we will see a home conference playoff series in Orono. With the quality recruits coming in over the next couple of years my expectations will change. However, for now I am enjoying the black bears for what the team is; a young up and coming team looking to return to the upper echelon of hockey east. In order to get back to the top of hockey east we first need to prove we are better than the other middling to bottom teams in the conference (UConn, UVM, UNH, Merrimack, Amherst). I am optimistic this will happen with time, but I am also cautious to not let the cart get ahead of the horse. Looking forward to a fun season!

    Go Blue!!
I think there is an element of this guy trying to be controversial and draw attention to himself. Maine very well could go completely off the rails but at this point there haven't been any signs of it happening.

I just realized Maine has to travel every weekend from now until when they play AIC second weekend in December. That makes me more nervous than anything else.

Mundinger is the #2 goaltender and don't be too surprised to see him start a game on the road.

Really? Mundinger is going to play? I find that hard to believe. Guy can fill the net but I thought he was a practice goalie???
I swear there ain't no heaven but I pray there ain't no hell.

Will be interesting to see him play. He has been the second dressed goalie on the bench. Morris is the No. 3 goalie.

That makes two of us. The fact he didn't play in the exhibition game says a lot.

When he does get his chance look for his first start to be on the road.

                              Off to a good start.

BTW I don't know which team you thought was 3-2 coming into the weekend (maybe Mount Olive?) but it wasn't Maine. 3-1, now 3-2-1.

Assuming the rest of your predictions are on the money, you might want to reexamine your own projected record for Maine at the end of December.

                                uh no.

exhibition games count up there. you are free to deduct kariya's points and we'll reconsider. but let's try to establish consistency. mkay?
