She wasn't ripping those who definitely can't eat gluten. She was ripping the folks who just go "gluten-free" because that's the fad nowadays. That's how I read it. A MAJORITY of people can eat gluten, but choose not to, because that's the popular thing to do.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

<---- This! (pretend the arrow points up) There are absolutely people who are intolerant, who have issues when they eat gluten (or food dyes, or a myriad of other things) there are also people who say they are gluten intolerant except they can eat X which usually is something they don't want to give up that is chock full of gluten. It mysteriously is 'fine' to eat, they don't know why. Or they eat large volumes of garbage food usually but when they are gluten free can't find the volume of trashy food they would normally consume and say gluten is the problem. Those who are skeptics see the inconsistencies and immediately dismiss all of it as bunk. Makes it much more difficult for those with legit problems.

https://www.amazon.com/Survival-Sick.../dp/0060889667 This has some very interesting theories on why some people are intolerant to certain foods/situations when others thrive in them. Lil les had to read it for AP Bio. It is fascinating.

You'd think that, if you were on a national broadcast, you'd find out the proper way to pronounce an unusual word, no??

Yet ESPN2 announcers keep saying "quin-i-PEE-ac."

Believe me, I know how to pronounce Worchester.

Sorry to pick on Scarlet here, but her accent isn't that bad. Until she gets excited or irritated. It keeps getting thicker, and thicker, and then it's insane. It's hilarious!

We used to joke about this re: Yoopers and their accent, but with drunkenness. Not that it's hard to do if you're from MI, WI, or MN, and have seen Fargo, eh?
