Quick question who are the top all time scorers in Union's D1 era ?
Is that much different from the all time scoring leaders for post season play ?

Ken Schott would have all of those answers. He keeps a Union Hockey Record Book!

If I had to guess my top ten all time scorers would be:
Carr, Prezniuk, Trabucco, Zajac, Simpson, Walters,Ciampini, Welsh, Bodie & Vech
              Post Season top ten:
Carr, Prezniuk, Zajac, Simpson, Ciampini, Jooris, Welsh, Novak, Bodie & Ghost.

It would be interesting to see how much different the all time top ten is different from the postseason top ten.

i am pretty sure I must have missed a few players on both of my lists.

It’s that blue-collar mentality that could propel him to a long and successful career in the City of Brotherly Love. “It’s important to remember where you came from and stay within yourself,” Gostisbehere said. “Don’t get too big of a head. And hard work pays off.”

Pretty close.. all-time D-1 scorers are as follows (from Union Media Guide)

                  1. Daniel Carr 157
                  2. Adam Presizniuk 131
                  3. Kelly Zajac 128
                  4. Mat Bodie 124
                  5. Daniel Ciampini 118
                  6. Jason Walters 115
                  7. Wayne Simpson 115
                  8. Jordan Webb 114
                  9. Mario Valery-Trabucco 114
                  10. Mike Vecchione 113
                  11. Chris Ford 104
                  12. Joel Beal 101
                  13. Jeremy Welsh 100

Vecks obviously will make it to at least #2 on the list with a 20+ point senior campaign and could move past Carr if he has a huge season. The interesting one to me on this list is Mat Bodie @#4 - he really was consistently excellent from the blueline and averaged over 30 points a season, finishing his senior year with 39 points. He was a bit overshadowed by other players but certainly makes a case for top D-man of all-time alongside (or very closely behind) Ghost. Ghost BTW finished with 82 points and likely would have cracked top 10 with a good senior year.

I couldn't find any numbers on post-season D-1 leaders, but would suspect that its dominated by players on the F4 and NC teams, particularly the NC senior class (Carr, etc.) that was on both. Really is unfair to compare, as it is so dependent on the success (or lack thereof) of the team as a whole and how many post-season games there were - e.g. players like Webb, Ford and Beal barely played any post-season games.

ADK thanks for the update. I was pretty close but left off a few great players. I completely agree that the postseason list on a comparative basis is completely different and driven by number of games and how successful a season the team had. It would be interesting to see how much different that postseason top 15 list might be. Jooris, Ghost and Novak would probably crack that list. Per Rolevio maybe only Ken Schott keeps those records .....

Unofficial tally of postseason points and it is certainly driven by the number of games and team success.

                      Carr 26 pts 25 games
                      Novak 22 pts 26 games
                      Champ 21 pts 25 games
                      Sullivan 21 pts 24 games
                      Bodie 18 pts. 25 games
                      Vech 17pts. 15 games
                      Jooris 16 pts 16 games
                      Ghost 14 pts. 21 games
                      Hatch 14 pts 25 games
                      Simpson 12 pts 19 games
                      Prez 12 pts 11 games
                      Zajac 12 pts 19 games
                      Welsh 11 pts 14 games

ADK per your point pretty hard to believe Novak played in 26 post season games. Carr & Bodie not surprisingly lead the pack for forwards and D. Pretty impressive numbers for Jooris, Ghost and Vech in just 3 years. Hopefully Vech and team can go deep in the playoffs to give Vech a chance to catch Carr. Some of these guys logged an awful lot of playoff action.

Vechs goal vs BC was another highlight !

Hard to beat Ghost making those 3 or 4 saves while playing Patrick Roy vs Providence ...
