Short of it is, it's a video game. They made it so you have to go out into the physical world to specific locations in order to be awarded different things, like the little monsters upon which the game is based.
I googled it. Now I get it. I guess it's better than sitting on your azz all day gaming. Might have to download for our next camping trip. Not.

Of all the companies that have tried for decades to get kids outside, it's Nintendo that comes through.

Until the first kid walks into traffic with his nose in his iphone playing this game and gets hit by a garbage truck.

Then Nintendo would be the first compmay to come through in trying to thin the herd.

I worked at a bookstore....ok it was a porn and collectibles store (Shinders, for the locals) when Pokemon was big (along with Magic and pogs). I hate all of it. So *ing annoying.

Edit: Shinders marketed itself as a bookstore. Most of their money was made on dirty mags/vids, and collectibles. Mostly the former.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Speaking of Pokemon. 50 adults standing in a little park by the Riverwalk in Reno, shouting things like "I got a poliwag". As we were walking back from dinner.

Back to work tomorrow after 10 days off. Bummer. At the same time, I'm pumped because I'm not going back to the call center. I'd be a wreck of depression right now if I was.

Going solo on my 1.5 person rated job. This should be fun. If you're a sadomasochist. Let's put it this way: Houghton and the surrounding communities may burn when I get there in a couple weeks.

Wow. The world is a different place then going next door to see if Steven, Kimmy and Sheila want to play kickball in the empty yard.

                            Good Morning Lodge.

No kidding. What happened to the days when kids went outside and rode dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, etc. all day.

I have yet to see any kids playing. Everyone has been 18+. So maybe they still are going outside.

I'd imagine because not all kids are allowed cellphones.
