Late night... There are several quality kids looking at the program and the rink will get kids in top leagues looking. It already has a great academic reputation but the rink turned kids away. The buzz now is that they want to check it out. They have had good success out of conference and if rink is as good as it looks, they would be good fit for Hockey East in a few years. Top 3 business undergrad schools in country
Hoky do you think Bentley is going to be the school to replace Notre Dame? Or do you think Holy Cross has a better chance? Looks like Bentley would have the arena advantage, but HC offers great education too. Would just moving up to Hockey East make HC more attractive to recruits? Or would facilities still hurt HC?

Rink kills HC, even though city said they could use DCU.
I would think Q to HE than HC to ECAC
HC academics are Ivy like and admissions is brutal
New Bentley rink and location makes them viable. They are a tough team to play and have done pretty well out of conference. To bad they hadn't done this few years ago, always had land and cash, could have gotten in over U Conn
Re: Bentley University Hockey 2016-2017: The (Max) French Revolution
U.S. News and World Report in 2015 ranks Bentley #3 best regional north business university, and 50th nationally, along with #3 in northeast and #26 nationally in accounting. Bloomberg Business Week ranks Bentley #20 nationally in 2015 for undergraduate business education.
I would be very surprised if Bentley were invited to join HEA ahead of Holy Cross.

Not having women's hockey hurts as well
Certainly true about missed opportunity to build a rink on campus a few years ago when steel and construction costs were cheaper, perhaps half of the estimated $45 mil cost now. A few smart school admins took advantage of cheap building costs then, but most balked.

Why do so many people think Q wants to go to HE? Just what benefit do they get? Top of ECAC lately and go to the FF. Would costs be less or income more?
Re: Bentley University Hockey 2016-2017: The (Max) French Revolution
It's fun to speculate about upcoming schedules. I wouldn't be surprised if we see round 2 of the NU-Bentley home & home weekend series. That leaves 4 more OOC games. Do we see a return of the annual Quinnipiac and Harvard games? After an unprecedented 3 OOC games at the JAR this year we have to ask, was that a fluke, or a sign of things to come? 5 of 6 OOC games were Hockey East last year, do you think Soderquist tries to stick there, or venture out to the ECAC/BIG10?

Would be good to get another crack at Harvard, especially now that Vessey is gone. I do not think that Bentley has beaten the Q since they joined the ECAC, and we maybe beat them only once during their AHC days. I do not think that the three OOC games at the JAR were a fluke this past season, as HEA teams need to balance their home/away schedules.
