Have you ever been to Evensong? Dr. Mrs. and I went at Westminster Cathedral. This is a recording, but to be present is to be transported. It is impossibly beautiful.

I went to one of those. It was awe- inspiring. We sat in the Quire. Incredible. One of my favorite memories of all the times I went to Westminster.

My cousin is now an Episcopal priest(ess?) At my Mom's funeral Mass I told her the Anglicans have it way over (American) Catholics when it comes to music.

I made sure that Haugen and Schutte were banned from her Mass. Instead
I Know the My Redeemer Liveth (Messiah)
        23 Psalm (Gelineau)
Ave Maria (what funeral Mass is without this!)
O Lord I Am Not Worthy
and to send Mom off -
Guide Me Now O Great Redeemer

I believe, in theory, that the 1st and last are prohibited as they are secular hymns. Tough.

Apparently they don't go by -ess, which IMO is a missed opportunity. They are addressed as "Mother," however.

I thought Protestants were called Reverand. That would make her Reverand Mother.

It's an OR, not an AND.

I always preferred "Mother Superior," BTW. Gives it a certain, well, emphasis.

Speaking of Protestants, according to CNN, 53% of white Evangelical Protestants believed God played a role in the election.

In that case question #1 is "Do you enjoy the Left Behind series?"

We could weed out a lot with that one alone.

Angels are part of fantasy. Left Behind requires a suspension of disbelief so great even 1980's WWF is going "*ing really?"

My mom thought Left Behind was exactly how the end times were going to play out. She also was big on angels and thought the formation of the EU was a sign of the Apocalypse.

Jesus: “You give them something to eat." Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. The number of those who ate was about five thousand.

Kepler: "Stupid Christians believe you turn nothing into food for five thousand."
