If scheduling 18 home games this season meant they would need to host two Atlantic Hockey teams then I'm glad they will be playing UNO on the road instead.
Scheduling isn't easy... 34 games to work with. Best of "fair" conditions that's 17 games... Then consider neutral site games and series to pay back and the rest... It will happen.

On the other hand, these schools will have to return some of these dates.

Not sure if everyone saw the post on the board about Bertagna and scheduling/expansion, so here's the article.

Q is happy in ECAC, RPI maybe, Holy Cross is palatable, but just say no to Bentley. Does nothing for the HE brand except give Merrimack and Amherst a chance to win a few games.

The schedule announcement from the UML site.

UMass Lowell opens it's 50th season of play on Oct. 7th vs. Minnesota Duluth at the Tsongas Center

Restraint should be the word... RPI only if they have a dedicated plan to rule the Capital District.

I would tolerate any New England or quasi-New York school as long as they commit and not soft-commit... For instance, UConn. We can't have another school mealy-mouth commit to hockey.

Just noticed the home schedule is heavily weighted towards Fridays (9 Fridays, 5 Saturdays). boo to that.

Considering RPI's only D-I sport is ice hockey, you wouldn't have to worry about a soft-commit from them. However, the thought has been toyed with about as long as the ivy league split (one of the reasons HEA was formed). If it hasn't happened in 30 years, it's probably not going to happen.
