Seriously, though. I do know why Michigan hasn't played in-state teams in non-conference the last two years.
Disgraced insta-fire Dave Brandon had some kind of fixation with not scheduling any in-state teams in hockey or men's basketball. It hasn't happened the last two years unless they were agreements already made years in advance.
As a result, the two worst non-conference schedules EVER happened this year in both sports. Hockey played the likes of Mercyhurst, RPI, Niagara and Dartmouth while MBB has just finished their run of Houston Baptist, Youngstown State, Northern Kentucky, Bryant and the always competitive Delaware State.
Same thing with Notre Dame in football. He is the reason that football series probably won't be played again until the latter part of the 2020s.
Michigan played both Ferris & Tech last year. The deal was one game at Ferris in exchange for two in Ann Arbor. Tech still has two trips to make to Yost in exchange for UMs visit to the UP. NMU has rejected 2 for 1 from Michigan as has Western and LSSU opted for a 2 for 1 from MSU over UM.

Tech played at Yost two seasons ago, so owe one more trip.
These GLI games never go to script, I think Tech and UM have the upper hand to the championship game, but I personally am hoping for a Tech / NMU championship game.

Does the deal with State still have one more at MSU or one at State & one at Tech?
And a Tech/ NMU final would be outstanding!

You could hear a pin-drop in the Joe if that was to happen.
Better than hearing "Hail" for the 1,305,274,854th time.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Easier wins for Western and LSSU. Plus, the women in east landfill are easier.
No. LSSUs coach played for State.

You mean like the Big Ten Tournament? You really filled it up. Wow 6355 to watch Minnesota win it. You really rocked the house. NMU & Ferris did better than that in the CCHA semi final a few years back. Of course, that was when 6 of 7 MichigN schools played in one conference and had 3 other schools within a 3-4 hour drive unti a group decided to blow up not only a successful CCHA tourney, but an enormously successful WCHA tourney as well. 6355 for your championship game between two " prestigious" college hockey institutions. Gee, only 11,000 less than Michigan vs NMU drew a few years ago. Yeah, the small schools are a drag on attendance. Except you're putting fewer butts in Yost with Minnesota & Wisconsin than you did with Western & Ferris.
