END 2: Minnesota 2 - SCSU 1. Huskies weathered the storm for much of the period, but goals in 1:10 by Bischoff and Bristedt give U the lead.

Bristedt has been progressing all year long. He's really arrived at the top of the sheet in terms of all around play. Not a huge surprise due to his unworldly Swedish pedigree coming in. Still nice to see him come into his own fairly early in his soph season.

That was a big 2nd period for the Gophers. The difference was they're winning puck battles and forechecking hard. Need an insurance goal now to put them away. After last week's OT loss I hope they've learned their lesson on how to close teams out and show them where their bus is parked.
